‘I endorse and throw my full support behind him’

7 06 2008

Clinton ends her campaign and uses the words “endorse” (not that I didn’t expect her to, but that should shut up many of the people on both sides either bitching about Clinton or holding out hope that she would go to Denver).

She is only officially “suspending” her campaign instead of officially ending it for campaign debt reasons as she can’t raise money after she ends her campaign, and she can’t use her general election war chest to pay it off.

Of course, there are still hold-outs on both sides, but I guess that’s to be expected. However, I’ve long told people on the orange blog who said that she would never concede, never endorse, and go all the way to Denver that they were going to eat a lot of crow. I hope they’re eating a lot of it. I’ve had faith all the way that Senator Clinton would do the right thing, and she did the right thing.

Update:

Apparently the RNC put out a list of criticisms of Obama that Clinton made of him throughout the primary (don’t worry, they would have done the same thing had Clinton won, and I Hope the DNC does the same thing for McCain).  However, Clinton has already started walking all of it back by saying “I’ve had a front row seat to his candidacy, and I have seen his strength and determination, his grace and his grit.”  Basically the start of saying “I have realized better.”
