The media is still fascinated with the Clintons, and if there is any possible way to talk about them all day, especially if it involves conflict and especially if it involves intra-Democratic Party conflict, they will.
Hillary: “I think my supporters voices should be heard.”
Media: “OH MY GOD! Hillary is going to put her name into nomination!!!!!!!!!11!1!”
Me: No, it doesn’t mean that. There are many ways her supporters voices could be heard like…giving some of her strongest supporters prime speaking spots to talk about issues that were important to Hillary, or giving some of her people good spots on the platform committee, etc. I thought we went through it last week where she made pretty clear that she didn’t intend to put her name into nomination.
Bill: “No one is ever ready to be President.”
Media: “OH MY GOD!!!11! Bill refused to say Obama was ready to be President!!!!!!1!!1!”
Me: Yeah, and his comment can be read (in fact, must be read) to say that McCain isn’t ready either, so it’s a wash.
Sometimes the media drive me crazy.
